This is a Stand in For a Solid was a month long collaborative project between UCL students from the Slade School of Fine Art and the History of Art department, which ran in July 2013. This project was built on the shared interests, methods and the common practice of looking at images, between the usually separated disciplines of Art and Art History. Working largely on-line, this project developed through image conversations as well as shared text documents, which developed into a single, multi-authored body of work including a Tumblr page, a published text and a performance at Flat Time House.
This project was a collaboration between Leah Miller-Biot, Rebecca Lee, Helena Longos, Marta Zboralska, Neena Percy, Christina Theodoropoulou, Cadence Kinsey, Sophie Eagle and John Hill, with support from Katrina Palmer, recipient of the Artangel Open Commission 2013, Melanie Jackson and the staff at Flat Time House.
